Our stunning 2010-2011 season includes: Guests-stars from around the world; a new Community Series that’s FREE to members of our new 25 to 25 Club; our National Recorder Competition and our new Electronica Composers Mash-Up contest; a special Philadelphia performance of Monteverdi’s Vespers featuring unique Piffaro scorings; a regional vocal celebration; and
 

special appearances at the Cloisters at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NY and the Getty Museum Center in LA. This 2-events-in-1 series is fashioned after a 1616 two-week baptism and dance celebration. Even Prince Frederick would be impressed! Guests are Boston’s Blue Heron, New York’s Parthenia and the New York Historical Dance Company, and Laura Heimes, soprano.

Manuscripts Come Alive! at the Getty Museum Center, Los Angeles

It’s MORE than just a Wine-n-Cheese TRAVELOGUE Series

Stories, music & pictures of our fascinating Bolivia tour were featured in our first TRAVELOGUE. It was such a hit, we’re back for more! International tours, national workshops, and the important work we do in historic reed-making and creating the world-renowned Piffaro shawm sound. Piffaro is history in the making– join our party!
